Washington undergoing a rise in traffic deaths, while most states in the U.S. are experiencing a plateau

In previous posts, we explored how traffic fatalities have seen a rise since the start of the pandemic. However, two years after the pandemic States are finally seeing a plateau or decrease in the number of traffic deaths, but Washington is not one of them. In an article published by the Seattle  Times, researchers found in the first six months of 2022, Washington saw a 31% increase in traffic fatalities when comparing the first half of 2021 and 2022. This makes Washington have the sixth highest increase in the United States.
